AFW City Path: Philadelphia Flower Show on Sunday 3/1/2026 (Snow Date Saturday 3/7/2026)
Tour the Philadelphia Flower Show, which includes walking the exhibits and a 45 min guided tour of the Horticourt by award-winning grower, Mickey Hamell.
Difficulty/Pace: Easy/Leisurely

AFW Camping: Winter camping at Stokes State Forest (Shotwell area) on Sat 1/31 - Sun 2/1/2026)
Sat: - set up tents, day hike, possible evening campfire, relax in lean-to with wood stove at night before going to our tents to sleep. Sun - breakfast, short hike, lunch, leave by 2pm.

AFW Hike: Monks Mountain, RIngwood, NJ on Friday 12/26/2025
4-4.5 miles. Fairly level with some roots and rocks, one huffer-puffer which we will take our time going up, and a woods road walk. The Monksville Resrvoir is extremely low. We will have lunch at a rock that is normally submerged.

AFW Hike: Lord Stirling Park/Raptor Trust, Basking Ridge, NJ on Wednesday 12/24/2025
4-4.5 miles. Lovely walk on packed soil/boardwalks to all the highlights of the park. Travel one mile down the road to visit The Raptor Trust. Recommended donation $2. Bring warm beverage. I'll supply candy canes.

A Holiday inspired garden tour.
Time: 5-6 hour walking tour
Mileage: 4-6 miles on flat to rolling grounds
