Please join us on our volunteer activity at the Community Food Bank of NJ. Depending on their needs that day, we may be packing food, packing family backpacks, sorting, preparing meals, etc.

AFW City Path: Philadelphia Flower Show on Monday 3/4/24 (Snow Date Thurs 3/7/24)
Tour the Philadelphia Flower Show (including walking the exhibits, view horit-court, market and maker space).
Difficulty/Pace: Easy/Leisurely (4 hr tour that may cover about 3 miles)

AFW Car Camping: Stokes State Forest on Sat 2/24 to Sun 2/25/2024
Winter overnight camping with drive-in tent sites.

AFW Campfire Hike: Harriman State Park, NY on Monday 2/19/2024
5.5 miles. Campfire lunch at Big Hill Shelter. Hikers share firewood carry-in. Campfire dessert provided. Pack extra layers

AFW City Path: Lakota Wolf Preserve on Friday 1/19/2024 - CANCELED FOR WEATHER
During this informative guided presentation, visitors will learn about the social structure of wolf packs, their eating habits, interactions, and other interesting facts.

AFW Hike: Farny St Park/Wildcat Ridge/Splitrock Reservoir, NJ on Saturday, 1/13/2024
Snow conditions: 3-4 mile loop on snowshoes. No snow: 5+ miles Mod-Stren/Mod. Mostly easy but one longish, edgy rock scramble to excellent views.
Difficulty/Pace: Moderate/Moderate OR Moderate-Strenuous/Moderate depending on weather and route
