New events will be added to the AFW website periodically.
Generally, event registration will open 2-3 weeks prior to the event (and close around 2 pm the day prior). Registration for City Paths and Backpacks are open immediately.

AFW City Path: Manitoga - Russell Wright's House, Studio and Woodland Garden on Saturday 6/1/2024
Experience Dragon Rock, Wright's experimental home he built onto a rock ledge masterfully orchestrating the surrounding landscapes into a series of outdoor rooms of varying character and delight.
Difficulty/Pace: *Moderate* / Leisurely

AFW City Path: Lakota Wolf Preserve, PA on Friday 6/7/2024, rain or shine
Visit Lakota Wolf Preserve, followed by lunch at The Gem and Keystone Brew Pub, 529 River Road, Shawnee on Delaware, PA
Difficulty/Pace: Easy/Leisurely

Ticket Cost: $35 Member /$40 Non-member. Lunch cost is additional.

AFW Backpack: Black Rock Shelter, Harriman State Park, NY on Sat 6/8 - Sun 6/9/2024
Good for beginners and above. Hike ~2 miles to Shelter, set up camp, and day hike in the (with empty packs) both days.

Baseball Game & Fireworks - EITHER NY Boulders at Pompton, NY OR NJ Jackals at Paterson, NJ
Difficulty/Pace: EASY/LEISURELY walk from Parking Lot. Steps to seating area.

AFW Hike/Workshop in Spring 2024: Learn to Become A Citizen Scientist By Using the iNaturalist App on a Smartphone
3-5 mile hike in the woods while using your Smartphone to catalog flora & fauna that you find.
