Adventures For Women

Adventures For Women (AFW), founded by Betsy Thomason, is a non-profit organization.  AFW is one of the few women only outdoor clubs in the U.S.  

 

We bring women, 18 years or older, of all abilities together...

  • to share adventures and camaraderie

  • to learn new skills and develop confidence

  • to gain new insights and experiences

 

We are an eclectic organization that loves to explore and is equally at home in the woods, the suburbs, or the city. We pride ourselves on providing ample opportunities for women to empower, improve and define themselves.  We teach women to be comfortable in the woods, to protect the environment, and to push themselves to new levels.  Along the way, our members make friends and find others to support and encourage them as they flourish. We are women who love having fun outdoors.

When you sign up for events online, you will receive an automatic confirmation email within a few minutes. If you don't, you may have missed a registration step. 
If you continue to have issues, please contact AFW at 201-371-3089 or by email.

Calendar View

Important CHANGE:

Effective 1/1/2024, waitlists are deactivated for events. If the registration window is closed or if the event is full you will see an alert that says "RSVP CLOSED OR EVENT FULL.  CHECK BACK FOR OPEN SPOTS.".

If you get this alert during the registration window, please check the event again to see if any spots opened .

Please note that the registration (RSVP) window for hikes and bike rides remains 3 weeks before event until about 2pm the day before the event.
