Safety rules and general orientation are followed by one-on-one instruction as you actively use rifles and handguns. This workshop accommodates those who have no knowledge of guns as well as those with advanced skill. Experienced shooters enjoy getting in a lot of practice in a short amount of time. New shooters appreciate the one-on-one attention of the patient instructors. All equipment is provided

Gear Workshop

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Now is the time to get ready for a new season of hiking. Do you want to have a great experience on the trail? It’s important to wear the right type of clothing and shoes. It’s also important to carry certain essentials in a pack that fits you well. None of this has to break the bank. Buy the right “gear” and it will last a long time.

This workshop is a place for you to share what works (or doesn’t work) for you. Bring the equipment you use or no longer use. Do you use water bottles or hydration system? What are your favorite layers of clothing? How about those socks? What do you carry on a day hike – first aid, snacks, emergency items? This workshop is for day hikers and backpackers. Maybe some “day hikers” will be enticed to try an overnight. Backpackers should bring a pack loaded with essentials for one overnight.

If you’re new to hiking and backpacking, bring yourself and check out what other people have – before you buy anything for yourself.

Saturday, June, 5, 2010

The session will be taught by experienced coaches with some advanced rowers on hand to make the experience fun. A light snack will be provided by PRRA between instructions and water time. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water to drink.
