Weekend trips last from two to four days.
AFW Refund Policy
If AFW cancels a Weekend Trip for any reason, a full refund will be given.
If you cancel a Weekend Trip, AFW will refund your deposit and fee (minus a $10 administration fee) if you cancel by the date stated.
Winter Weekend in the Catskills
Friday, February 10 - Sunday, February 12, 2012
Are you one of those people who gets cabin fever by the time February rolls around? Come join us for a relaxing, fun-filled weekend in the Catskills (just 2 - 2.5 hours from northern New Jersey). We will be staying at the Straus Center in Claryville, NY. This "pristine country home" will be our base for the weekend of activities and relaxation. There will be a choice of four guided hikes — one on Friday afternoon, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. If there is enough snow, the hikes may be changed to snowshoes adventures (loaners are available). For those interested in cross country skiing, Frost Valley is only 30 minutes from the Straus Center (loaner skis are available).
The price includes Friday and Saturday nights' lodging, a light dinner on Friday night and a full dinner on Saturday night, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, coffee, tea, and cheese and crackers on Friday and Saturday at 5:50PM. 12 - 20 participants ensures that we are the only guests in this beautiful home.
